Response from the Editor

The issue brought forth by the Letter to the Editor is of great significance to the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP). Veterinary Pathology would like to make it clear that the advertisement does not represent an endorsement of these organizations by the Journal or by the ACVP. The advertisement discussed was placed in Veterinary Pathology without the knowledge of the Editor or the Editorial Board of Veterinary Pathology or the ACVP. This advertisement has been discontinued from future publication in the Journal. In addition, the Journal has now established a process to provide oversight of all new advertisements considered for publication in the Journal. Please read the ACVP Position Statement on the use of animals in research that follows.
